Michael J. Ashley
Michael practices primarily in the area of family law with a particular passion for family planning and adoption. He prides himself on providing efficient and compassionate family law assessments and resolutions for clients and their children.
While at law school, Michael volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada’s Family Law Project at the Superior Court of Justice, where he assisted unrepresented litigants. He also completed the Mediation Clinical Intensive Program as part of the Family Law Division.
Michael has appeared numerous times in front of both Masters and Judges in the Superior Court of Justice across Southwestern Ontario.
He previously worked as an Intern Member’s Assistant for a former Cabinet Minister at the House of Commons.
Michael resides in Kitchener-Waterloo and serves clients in the Waterloo Region and throughout southern Ontario.

Education & ExperienceMichael Obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2015, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2016. He previously graduated magna cum laude at the University of Ottawa in 2012 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a minor in history.
