Kate’s practice focuses on civil litigation and family law. Kate received her Juris Doctor from Western University in 2019 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2020. Prior to her call to the Bar, Kate was a summer student and completed her articles at Cohen Highley, where she gained experience in all practice areas. Kate assists her clients to reach their goals using a practical and cost-effective approach, including litigation where necessary.
Kate has always been a passionate advocate. While obtaining her Juris Doctor from Western University, she successfully participated in numerous mock trial competitions. Kate was awarded best examination in chief at the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association Cup. Kate received first place in the Western Law Hicks Morley Labour Law Moot and went on to place second in the Provincial Hicks Morley Labour Law Moot.
Outside the firm, Kate enjoys softball, euchre and spending time with her friends, family, and pets. Kate is an avid traveller and has participated in volunteer trips to the Dominican Republic, Peru, Ghana and Rwanda.

Education & ExperienceKate received her Bachelor of Arts (Honours), with distinction from King’s College at Western University in 2015. Kate was awarded the Childhood and Social Institutions Award for receiving the highest grade average in her senior level courses. Kate remains connected to the King’s community and was a Teacher’s Assistant for the Childhood and Social Institutions Program from September 2014 to May 2020. Kate received her Juris Doctor from Western University in 2019 and was awarded the G. McLeod-McSorley Scholarship in Family Law for demonstrating the highest achievement in an advanced family law course.
