Privacy Law

Cohen Highley acts for individuals and organizations in providing a broad range of services that engage Privacy Law.

These services include:

• Advising on compliance with Canadian federal and provincial privacy and data management laws including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Acts, and Canada’s anti-spam legislation
• Advising on managing, and responding to, collections; specifically, use and disclosure of personal information
• Advising and representing clients with respect to breaches of privacy and privacy complaints
• Developing privacy management programs and policies, and advising on amendments and revisions to existing programs and policies to achieve compliance with applicable laws
