Proposed Condominium Fees
In accordance with the changes to the Condominium Act, 1998, the Condominium
Authority of Ontario (CAO) is expected to launch its operations on September 1,
2017. In order to fund its services, the CAO is proposing a monthly fee of $1 per
voting unit. This fee will be payable through the condominium corporation.

In accordance with the Condominium Management Services Act (CMSA), the
Condominium Management Regulatory Authority of Ontario (CMRAO) is expected
to launch its operations on November 1, 2017, which will include a mandatory
licensing program for condominium managers and condominium management
providers.
- CMRAO is proposing the following annual fees for each class of licence:
Limited Licence (must work under supervision and additional conditions apply): $379 - Transitional General Licence (if you have 2 + years of work experience): $607
- General Licence (if you have 2 + years of work experience and successfully completed education requirements): $607
- Condominium Management Firm Licence (corporation, partnership, sole
proprietor, association or other organization or entity that provides
condominium management services): The total firm license fee will consist of a $799 base fee + $350 per licensee employed by the firm.
