Matt Rynen

About

Matthew practices in the personal injury group, with a specific focus on insurance litigation and motor vehicle accidents. As a former law clerk, Matthew has a solid foundation of civil litigation experience that he brings to his practice.

Matt received his Juris Doctor from Western University in 2021 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2022.  Prior to his call to the Bar, he was a summer student at a boutique criminal law and civil litigation firm, before completing his articles at Cohen Highley, gaining experience in all practice areas. Matt assists injured clients with a compassionate, communicative, and informative approach.

Education & Experience

Matthew graduated from Kings College at Western University on the Dean’s Honour List. He received his Bachelor of Arts (Honours Specialization) in 2013.  Receiving his Juris Doctor from Western University in 2021, Matt was awarded the Alex Kennedy Memorial Scholarship for outstanding achievement in Insurance Law, and the Darwin Hayward Award for achievement in Corporate Law.

Outside Interests

Born and raised in London, Ontario, Matthew is active in the local community. Outside the firm, Matt enjoys playing soccer, hiking and spending time with his friends, family, and pets.
