About
Alexa practices personal injury litigation with an emphasis on disability law and human rights. She is passionate about helping others, and personal injury and disability law allows her to advocate for people in what can be their most challenging times.
Alexa assists her clients to obtain the compensation they deserve and the treatment they need, with a focus on recovery and healing.
Education & Experience
Alexa completed her undergraduate studies at Western University in Political Science and was honoured to attend Osgoode Hall Law School to complete her Juris Doctor degree. During her time at Osgoode she had the opportunity to work with the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic, which provides legal services and advocacy for women who have experienced violence.
Alexa practiced personal injury and disability law at another London firm prior to joining the personal injury team at Cohen Highley.
In The Community
Alexa is active in the local community and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Regional HIV/AIDS Connection, and volunteers as a committee member for the Brain Injury Association of London and Region.
Through Alexa’s work and life experiences, she has learned that kindness, compassion, and fairness are the foundation of a strong community, and she strives to instill those values in her practice.
Alexa is a passionate animal advocate and vegan, and knows that small changes in perspective can lead to fundamental shifts in thinking. When thinking about any problem, legal or otherwise, perspective matters, and creative thinking facilitates an effective result.
In her spare time, Alexa enjoys hiking, bird watching, kayaking, and plays softball in a local league. Alexa loves trees, and advocates for their preservation. She is an avid cyclist and vintage bicycle enthusiast. Alexa is also involved with animal rescue, fosters abandoned or injured cats while they wait for permanent homes, and assists with wildlife needing rehab. Alexa has many of her own pets, all of whom are rescues.
