Vera Dokter

About

A member of both the Corporate Department and the Real Estate, Wills and Estates Department at Cohen Highley, Vera Dokter was called to the Ontario Bar in 2013.  Vera has a passion for assisting her clients with residential, commercial, builder and multi-family property acquisitions, dispositions and financings, and provides corporate and estate advice in addition to her real estate practice.

Born in Portugal ,and raised in Strathroy, Ontario, Vera is able to provide legal advice and services in both Portuguese and English.

Education & Experience

Vera received a Bachelor of Arts degree (with distinction) from Western University in 2009 and her Juris Doctor from Western University in 2012. During her time at law school, Vera was an elected member of the Student Legal Society and volunteered for the Community Legal Services Clinic.  Vera built a thriving practice in London and joined Cohen Highley in 2024 to continue to expand.

In the Community

Vera volunteers her time on the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity Heartland Ontario and as an executive member of the Women in Networking (WIN) London networking group. Vera is also a member of the Middlesex Law Association.

Outside Interests

Vera enjoys reading, travelling with her family, and crafting with her two children.
