Emily Van Eerd

PARALEGAL

About

Emily is a Licensed Paralegal within the firm’s Administrative Law group.

Before she pursued a career in the legal profession, Emily developed an early passion for providing care and assistance to others. Emily was privileged to spend many years as a Child and Youth worker, a Camp Counselor and later a Day Camp and Outdoor Education Supervisor for multiple locations in Southwestern Ontario. It was within those community-driven positions that Emily decided to seek out a profession where she could combine this passion for helping others with her long standing interest in law. Emily ultimately decided to become a Paralegal so that she could dedicate her skills to advocating for those in her community seeking access to justice through legal services.

Outside of her career, Emily enjoys reading, dancing and spending time with her family and friends.

Education & Experience

Emily graduated from Western University with a Double Major in Criminology and Women’s Studies. She then enrolled in a Post-Graduate Certificate Program at Fanshawe College in Paralegal Studies, where she was the Class President of the Fanshawe Paralegal Student Association. Emily proudly obtained her Paralegal License from the Law Society of Ontario in 2019.
