Liam Thompson

About

Liam is an associate practicing family law in Cohen Highley’s London, Ontario office. He is passionate about assisting clients in achieving cost-effective solutions to various family law issues.

Liam began working with Cohen Highley LLP as an Articling student, during which time he worked in all practice areas of the firm. During his articles, Liam gained experience while appearing on matters before the Small Claims Court, Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice, and various tribunals.

Education & Experience

Liam attended Western University where he obtained his Honours Specialization in Creative Writing and English Language and Literature. Liam also obtained his Honours Diploma in Audio Recording Technology from the Ontario Institute for Audio Recording Technology. He then worked in the local music industry before returning to Western to obtain his Juris Doctor.

While at Western Law, Liam gained experience working in the Student Staffed Legal Aid Clinic, Community Legal Services, where he gained experience in both the Criminal and Advanced Family Law practice divisions. Liam was also a top oralist in the Lerner’s Cup, and went on to compete as part of Western Law’s Wilson Moot team.

Outside Interests

 In his spare time, Liam enjoys producing electronic music, golf, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
