Cohen Highley LLP is currently recruiting a Legal Assistant/Law Clerk to join our Corporate Department in Kitchener, ON.

Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a Law Clerk or similar program
- 2-5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant/Law Clerk
- Experience with Corporate Law would be considered an asset
- Exceptional organizational and administrative skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment to excellent client service
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
The right candidate would be responsible for the following:
- File openings and closings
- Scheduling appointments
- Collecting retainers for consultations
- Preparation of documents
- Billings
- Filing in virtual or physical minute books
- Preparing incorporation and organizational documents
- Drafting annual resolutions
- Drafting closing documents for transactions or multi-step organizations
- Preparing resolutions for amendment of Articles, amalgamations, change of address and name registrations
- Share Purchase and Sale
- Maintaining and organizing corporate minute books
- Filings with appropriate agencies
