Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the lawyer’s calendar, schedule client meetings, court appearances, and other appointments.
- Maintain and organize client files (physical and digital), ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court staff, and other third parties via phone, email, and correspondence.
- Track and manage deadlines, court dates, and bring-forward system for timely follow-ups.
- Assist in the preparation of correspondence
- Open and close files, ensuring compliance with firm procedures and legal standards.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Legal Assistant or Law Clerk diploma/certificate from a recognized institution.
- 2-4 years of experience in family law or a similar legal environment
- Knowledge of family law procedures, forms, and filing processes
- Exceptional administrative and organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Law Clerk or Legal Assistant with a focus on Corporate Law
- Exceptional organizational and administrative skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment to excellent client service
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
The right candidate will be proficient in the following areas:
- Incorporation
- Amalgamation
- Share Purchase and Sale
- Annual Resolutions
- Drafting documents
- Maintaining and organizing corporate minute books
- Filings with appropriate agencies
- Business name registrations

- Reporting and billing
