Faisal is a Partner in the firm’s Corporate/Commercial and Business Law group. His practice focuses on business formation & incorporation, sale and purchase of businesses (assets/shares + growth/exit), franchising, corporate tax planning, business successions & reorganizations, corporate divorces (including shareholder dispute management), joint ventures, debt financing, drafting commercial, consumer and services contracts (including commercial leasing, shareholding, partnerships and inter vivos trusts),  minute book maintenance, amalgamations, dissolutions and continuance of corporations, comprehensive legal audit, corporate governance, and policy drafting.

He is a seasoned business lawyer with over 20 years of experience in deal structuring, project and legal risk management and compliance, across all major sectors, with a full spectrum of domestic and international clientele including not-for-profits, entrepreneurial and privately held businesses, professional corporations, small and mid-sized enterprises, franchises, retailers, larger companies and municipal and quasi-governmental bodies.

Faisal routinely assists foreign enterprises establishing multi-sector business operations in Canada and has also acted as Canadian local counsel to international law firms and clients on a broad range of corporate and commercial law matters.

Faisal is multilingual (fluent in Urdu & Hindi) and qualified in multiple jurisdictions including Ontario (Barrister, Solicitor and Notary Public), the UK (Barrister), and Pakistan (Advocate High Courts).

Faisal enjoys globe-trotting with his family, reading self-help books, and experimental cooking.
