Matt Jantzi
LAWYER
Matt is a commercial litigator based in Kitchener-Waterloo. His practice focuses on helping clients with employment matters and contractual disputes, including those involving real property or commercial tenancies. In his own words:
“I am passionate about protecting clients through fraught situations.
I find it fulfilling to provide first time litigants with a sense of
direction and closure throughout a dispute.”
Matt received his BA (2013) and MA (2014) in Sociology from Wilfrid Laurier University, and his JD (2020) from Windsor Law. Matt’s MA research focused on critical race theory and immigration policy. Over the last decade, Matt has helped multiple local organizations in the Region of Waterloo sponsor refugees and reunite families displaced by war. Since being called to the Ontario Bar in 2021, Matt has regularly appeared before the Superior Court of Justice, in court locations across the province. He has advocated in trials and before appellate courts, including the Divisional Court and Court of Appeal.
Matt is an elected Trustee for the Waterloo Region Law Association, as well as a member of the Board of Directors for Canterbury College in Windsor.
